The free Readiness Planner

Am I ready? Your scores, your date, your hours — a real plan.

Course sellers will happily turn your practice scores into a plan — inside a course that costs $79 to $199 (Onsego's tiers, checked October 2026), $129 for three months (Kaplan), or $19.99 a month (Essential Education). The official practice test itself already emits a chapter pointer into one maker's book. What nobody offered, until here, is the same computation free, standalone, calendarized, paced to your hours, budgeted against your state's retake prices, and neutral between the two tests. That is this page.

Your scores in, a dated plan out

Enter your four practice scores, your target test date, and the hours a week you can honestly study. Out comes a verdict per subject, a subject order, a week-by-week calendar with real dates, whether each subject is online-eligible, and the retake-risk budget in your state's real retake prices. Free, standalone, and test-neutral — no course to buy first, no book required to read the plan.

The bands are the test maker's own words: 145–200 Likely to Pass · 134–144 Too Close to Call · 100–133 Not Likely. A practice score is a signal, never a promise about the real test.

About the subject order: the workbook's default order — and this planner's spine — is Math → Language Arts → Social Studies → Science, two chapters per subject. Your plan adjusts weakest-first: a subject in the Not Likely band moves ahead of one that is already green, and the result tells you it did and why. Strongest-first has one honest use — banking a pass early for confidence — and if every score is green, the plan keeps the workbook order and spends its hours on upkeep and practice exams.

The bands, exactly as the test maker prints them

Practice scoreThe bandWhat it honestly means
145–200Likely to PassScores like yours usually pass. Also the online key: green within 60 days unlocks online testing in that subject.
134–144Too Close to CallThe measurement cannot separate ready from not-ready. Targeted study moves this band fastest.
100–133Not LikelyNot yet. The content flags on the score report say where; the plan rebuilds weakest-first.

On the real test: 145 Passing · 165 College Ready · 175 College Ready + Credit. HiSET practice scores (1–20 per subtest) are mapped onto the same three verdicts by DiplomaPath — 15–20 Likely · 11–14 Too Close · 1–10 Not Likely — and the mapping is labeled as ours wherever it appears; it is a planning bridge, not the test maker's language.
